This Privacy Policy explains how SikarLive (Sionix Technologies (OPC) Private Limited) collects, uses, protects and shares personal data when you use our website and services, in line with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act) and the Digital Personal Data Protection Rules, 2025.

1. Personal data we collect

We collect only what is needed for the services you use: your name, email address, password, phone number, delivery address (including pincode and city), order and purchase history, product reviews and ratings, and browsing activity such as products you view, like or search. When you contact a shop or business through our platform, we also receive your contact details and your message. We only send you messages such as order and delivery updates on WhatsApp or SMS to the phone number you provide; we do not read or access the contents of your WhatsApp chats.

2. Why we process your data

We process your personal data for the specific purposes described in the consent notice shown to you when you create an account or place an order, including: creating and managing your account, processing and delivering orders, sending order and delivery updates on WhatsApp or SMS, providing support and responding to enquiries, personalising recommendations and offers, and keeping the platform safe and secure.

3. Lawful grounds

We process your personal data on the basis of your consent, which is free, specific, informed, unconditional and unambiguous, and for certain legitimate uses recognised by the DPDP Act, such as processing you have voluntarily indicated for. You may give, review or withdraw your consent at any time from your account settings, with ease comparable to how consent was given.

4. How we share your data

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only where necessary: with the local shop or business you interact with so they can fulfil your order or enquiry, and with service providers who help us operate the platform, such as cloud storage (Cloudflare R2), messaging (WhatsApp Business), analytics and AI tools. These providers process data on our behalf under appropriate contracts and security safeguards. Messaging is send-only: we transmit messages to the phone number you provide and do not read the contents of your WhatsApp conversations. Orders placed with a shop are processed by that shop as a separate data controller, and their handling of your data is governed by their own practices and applicable law.

5. Transfers outside India

Some service providers may store or process data outside India. We only engage providers that offer appropriate safeguards, and we do not make your personal data available to any foreign State or its agencies except as required by law.

6. Your rights

Under the DPDP Act you have the right to: obtain a summary of the personal data we process about you, correct or update inaccurate or incomplete data, request erasure of your data where the specified purpose is served or your consent is withdrawn, withdraw consent at any time, raise a grievance, and nominate a person to exercise your rights in case of death or incapacity. You can exercise most of these from your account settings, or by writing to us at the address below.

7. Data retention

We retain personal data only for as long as the specified purpose is being served or as required by law. We retain processing logs and related data for at least one year as required by the DPDP Rules, after which we erase them where lawful. Orders and financial records are retained as required by applicable law.

8. Security

We apply reasonable security safeguards, including encryption, access controls and monitoring, to protect your personal data from unauthorised processing, accidental loss, destruction or damage. In the event of a personal data breach, we will inform you and the Data Protection Board of India as required by law.

9. Children

Our platform is for users who are 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly process the personal data of children. If you believe a child has provided us personal data, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
